Where were you born/grew up?
I was born in Brooklyn NY and grew up in Lake Ronkonkoma NY on Long Island

Describe your family (how you met your spouse, if you have kids, pets):
I met Steven’s dad at church and he did follow up on me when I received Christ as my personal savior. Steven is our only child/man and serves the Lord as Minister of Students. 

Where did you get your education and what’s your degree?
I went to Suffolk Community College on Long Island  and took Secretarial Science with a minor in Theraputic Recreation.

Did you work at a secular job before coming to work at Whitesburg (or before going into the ministry)?
Yes I was a legal secretary for about 14 years.

How did you come to be in the ministry, and/or what circumstances brought you to work at Whitesburg?
I had lost my job due to my last boss having to hire his step daughter, there was an opening at the church and I applied for it.

What are your strengths/spiritual gifts?
My strengths are organization, able to communicate with all walks of people.  My spiritual gifts according to the test, are hospitality, encouragement and discernment.

What motivates you in your work?
To use the gifts and talents God gave me, and to pay my bills.

What are your interests or hobbies (outside of work)?
I like hiking, the beach, garage sales, ballroom dancing, visiting my Granddaughter.

What book are you currently reading?
The Bible

What is your favorite type of music, or what’s on your iPod?

I don’t have an iPod, but it would be music from Jeremy Camp, Casting Crowns , Praise Songs, Oldies

What is your favorite sports team?
Alabama , NY Yankees

Give a short testimony of how you came to know Christ:
I was turning 24 yrs old and wanted more for my life, I was raised Catholic but had stopped going to church at age 19.  I worked at a record store in a mall on LI and some co workers were always talking about Jesus and this church they were going to.  Many times I listened and wondered how was this different then from what I knew about God? There was a college group that use to hand out tracks in the mall where I worked also I would read them but not understand. After many times of being invited to attend church with my co workers on  Sunday night, I finally accepted. That night 9/23/1977 a missionary couple who had just returned from China told of the miracles that God had blessed them with as they were sharing the gospel in China. The songs and their story as well as the scriptures and the Holy Spirit lead me to walk up to the altar and pray the prayer of salvation and receive Jesus as my personal savior. It was different, I went away happy inside and my life was transformed. I was baptized February 22, 1978 and became active in bible study and college and career classes. My life was complete with Jesus!

Describe a person or event that had a great impact on your life:
The night I got saved and the Missionaries I believe there last name was Graham, this was at a church on Long Island in the town of Smithtown.
