Prayers for Salvation

Lord, I pray that my son will be courageous.  I pray that he will fight bravely in any battle he finds himself in.  May the Lord’s will be done in his life.   I Chronicles 19:13

Heavenly Father, help my son to know You better.  Show him how much You love him.  Help him to make time to spend with You in Your Word and in prayer.  Fill him with Your Holy Spirit so he can become the man You want him to be.   Psalm 1:2-3; Ephesians 1:17, 3:16-20

Give my son wisdom and direction whenever he needs to know what to do or say.  Help him to trust You in each decision he makes, and guard his mind with Your peace.  Help him to make it his goal to fill his mind with good thoughts and keep it clear of things he shouldn’t think about. James 1:5; Proverbs 3:5-6; Philippians 4:6-8

God, help my son to be the kind of man others respect.  May he be honest and trustworthy, and may his actions show others what You are like. Luke 2:52; Daniel 6:4; Matthew 5:16

Lord, show my son what is important to You, and help him to think those things are important, too.  Teach him to do everything for You.  As he does, give him the things he is working for, and help his plans to succeed. Colossians 3:17; Psalm 20:4, 37:4-6

Miscellaneous Prayers for My Son

Father, I pray my son will be like Jesus.  I pray that he will surround himself with Godly men.  I pray also that even in his deepest times of pain, he will seek the company and prayers of Godly men.  Matthew 26:36-38

Father, I pray that my son will never look upon a vile or profane image and that he will hate the deeds of faithless men.   Psalm 101:3

Lord, I know that You created my son for a special purpose and that he has been consecrated and set apart for Your Mission.  I pray that he will have a clear awareness of where he is going and what You are doing with him.  Jeremiah 1:5

Lord, I pray that You will freely and generously grant Your wisdom to _____________.  James 1:5

Lord, make my son a mighty man of valor.  Train his heart and hands for spiritual battle.  Give him a face like a lion and make him as swift and surefooted as a gazelle in the mountains.   I Chronicles 12:8
