Moms in Prayer

Moms, are you worried about your children in school or your adult children? Then come discover the peace of God that will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7) by praying with other moms. Two Moms in Prayer groups meet each week, and turn their worry into prayer to the only One who can change hearts. Childcare is not provided for either group, so please make other arrangements for your younger children.

Moms Praying for School-Age Children:

Come pray with us for the next generation—our children and their schools. Whether public, private or homeschool, from elementary through college. Schools may include Whitesburg P-8, Mountain Gap Elementary and Middle, Whitesburg Christian Academy, Randolph, Grissom High, Huntsville High, University of Alabama, Auburn University, etc.

Meets each Monday during the school year, 8:15 – 9:15 am
Led by Beverly Ellison
Whitesburg Baptist South Campus Room 315
7300 Whitesburg Drive SE
Huntsville, AL 35802

Moms Praying for Adult Children:

As our children grow into adulthood, they still need our prayers.

Meets each Thursday morning throughout the year, 9 – 10 am
Led by Vicki Craft
Whitesburg Baptist South Campus Hearthside Room
7300 Whitesburg Drive SE
Huntsville, AL 35802

Prayer Time:

Don’t let an hour of prayer intimidate you. You and other moms will bring your cares and concerns to the Lord in simple, conversational prayers as your group leader guides you through “4 Steps of Prayer.” You will follow a simple outline, which includes scripture (so bring your Bible) and specific prayer needs. The moms will take turns praying specifically and scripturally. If you aren’t comfortable praying aloud, you can pray silently. Either way, you’ll experience God’s peace, hope and power by praying with other moms, and you’ll likely be surprised at how quickly the time goes by. Remember, you don’t have to be a prayer warrior—just a mom who knows that God changes hearts.
