We’re excited about our Mentoring Ministry and the impact it can have on your life. The concept of mentoring is taught throughout scripture and specifically for women in Titus 2. Our hope is to develop a mentoring lifestyle, mindset and relationships among the women of our church which will be honoring to our Lord and workable for our ladies.
You can be involved in the Mentoring Ministry in several different ways:
*as a mentor you can use your good and/or difficult life experiences and walk with God to encourage and assist another woman; admittedly you “haven’t arrived” but you have learned so much through life that can benefit another woman
*as a mentee you can be encouraged, blessed and supported in your Christian walk by another Christian woman
*as a prayer supporter you can pray for the mentor/mentee relationship and their individual lives
Your first step to becoming involved in the Mentoring Ministry is to attend the Orientation Coffee. At the Coffee you will learn the joys, blessings and responsibilities of mentoring. If you decide to become involved . . .
Your second step, which takes place at the Orientation Coffee, is to indicate how you want to be involved (mentor, mentee, prayer supporter).
Your third step is to attend the Kick-Off Night where you will receive encouraging training and meet your 3-member mentoring team (mentor, mentee, and prayer supporter).
Your fourth step is to then enjoy and grow in your mentoring relationship over the next six months. You will surely experience Psalm 145:4 which says “One generation will commend Your works to another; they will tell of Your mighty acts.”
Our next Mentoring Orientation Coffee will be Sunday, March 8, 2015 in the Fellowship Dining Room at the Whitesburg Baptist Center (south campus). So please join us. It will definitely bless you, and it might change your life forever.
