Closings

The ROC will close at noon Wednesday, November 21 for the Thanksgiving Holiday, and will reopen 6 am Monday, November 26.

Ballet Classes
Fees for the 2018-19 year are as follows: cost per month is $20 for 3 and 4 year olds and $25 for 5-12 year olds. Registration fee is $15. Ballet recital fee is $30. Costume fee is $65. Class fees are due by the 10th of each month.

Creative Movement  – 3 & 4 year olds, Wednesdays or Thursdays, 3:45 p.m; 4 year olds, Fridays 3:45 p.m.Ballet 2010 -3 & 4 year old class 029

Pre-Ballet – 5 & 6 year olds, Mondays or Tuesdays,  3:30 p.m.

Beginner Ballet- 7-10 year olds, Tuesdays, 5:30 p.m.

Ballet – 7-9 year olds, Mondays or Tuesdays 4:30 p.m. (Requires 1 year experience and teacher approval)

Advanced Ballet- 10-12 year olds, Thursdays 4:30 p.m. (Requires 2 years experience and teacher approval)

Senior Day at the ROC

older_coupleCome and join us for Senior Day at the ROC on the second Monday of February, April, June, August, October and December. The schedule for the day is as follows:
10:30 – 11:30 am    Meet, Greet, Fun & Games. FREE blood pressure screenings
11:30 – 12:00 pm    Lunch is served ($5.00)
12:00 – 1:00 pm     Guest Speaker

CPR Classes
These classes, led by Mary Brown with the American Heart Association, are offered quarterly. Training includes adult, child and infant CPR with AED training. Cost is $55. To sign up, email or call Jane Baker at (256) 704-5678, ext. 715.

Basic Pistol Class
This class, led by Ted Meilke, is designed for men and women, aged 18 or older, who want to learn how to safely handle a pistol. Cost is $25. To sign up, email or call Jane Baker at (256) 704-5678, ext. 715. Pre-registration and payment is required.

Material Witnesses, Quilting Classes
Beginner, intermediate and advanced classes are offered on Tuesdays in fall and spring semester formats, August – November and January – May. All classes are $5 per semester plus tools and fabric, payable when you sign up. Classes are limited in size and fill up quickly. Call Sandy Raber at 864-9415 or email her.

Woodworking Classes
Learn to make a simple but elegant keepsake or jewelry box using dove tail joints. Cost is $25.00 which includes materials.  They will be conducted in the WBC Woodshop at the back of the Martha Fleming Center.  For further information email Jerry Guinn or to sign up for the class contact Jane Baker at 256-704-5678 ext. 715 or by email.

 

Wellness & Fitness

Christian Soldiers Karate
Christian Soldiers Karate offers self defense training with a focus on conservative and Christ-centered Bible teaching. Classes are ongoing and meet on Mondays and Thursdays at 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm in the Zone at the South Campus. Initial registration is $50 which includes the uniform and class fee for the first month. Balance & Stretch – Stand taller and stronger with 30 minutes of balance exercises followed by 30 minutes of stretching to improve your flexibility. Instructor: Jane

Body Sculpt – Define, sculpt and build lean muscle with a focus on intense isolation exercises using free weights and resistance in this cardio free class. Instructor: Carol

Body Sculpt Plus – Pyramid weight training is a highly effective technique utilizing an upward/ downward sequence in weight, reps or sets to help maximize your weightlifting goals. Instructor: Carol

Body Strong – Improve your cardiovascular system with no-impact aerobic choreography and muscle endurance power using hand held weights, tubing, kettle bells and a ball. Instructor: Stevie

Cardio Circuit  – Intense workout combining strength, balance, cardio, agility and flexibility. Join us for a dynamic workout that will continually test you. Monday Instructor: Nicki; Thursday Instructor: Brad

Cardio & Core  – 30 minutes of cardio activities, i.e. step, drumming, circuit and interval followed by core training. Instructors vary

Cardio Fusion – Rev up your heart rate and tone your body for one power packed hour including varying combinations of hi-lo impact, step, drumming, etc. Instructor: Susan

Muscle Madness – Fast paced, high energy class using combination moves and high repetition. Also includes a focus on correct form and muscle recruitment while building muscle and burning calories. Form before fancy! Instructor: Dawn

Senior-Fit Class – This class combines low impact moves in and/or around a chair focusing on strengthening and stretching muscles and core while improving balance. For older adults and those needing a basic workout. Instructor: Stevie
