Ruth: Loss, Love & Legacy
If you’ve ever struggled as a stranger, longed to be loved, felt devastated, wept along the way, or not comprehended the “big picture” of God’s work in your life, you’ll find a loyal sister in Ruth from the Old Testament. Intertwined with Kelly’s personal application, Ruth’s journey provides a powerful message for today’s woman. Along with Ruth’s virtuous character, her unique relationship with her mother-in-law Naomi, and her blossoming love with Boaz, this message will touch some aspect of every woman’s life . . . for hope, grace, forgiveness, love, and the glory of amazing redemption as fulfilled in Christ. And in the process we will discover that God is the true hero.

Growing up, Kelly was very involved in competitive sports, her church, and music. And like many young women, anxiety and depression were a part of her growing-up years. “Those struggles are what drove me to Scripture,” Kelly says, “and the catalyst for me to learn for myself who God is.” In a culture where so many are hurting and broken, she loves to share about the healing strength of Christ through the Bible’s truth.
Kelly has become a steady and respected teaching voice to women, particularly when it comes to the Scriptures. She writes, teaches, and speaks at ladies events and conferences including Women of Faith events. She also partners closely with Justice and Mercy International (JMI), a ministry that serves in the Amazon jungle, and especially loves working with the jungle pastors whose remarkable faith encourages and challenges her.
She has authored several ladies Bible studies and books including No Other Gods, Ruth, Nehemiah, Hannah’s One Wish (teen study), Where the River Runs, The Fitting Room, and her newest Bible study, What Love Is, based on 1, 2, & 3 John. In addition she has recorded several music CDs.
When she’s at home, Kelly’s days are spent writing, cooking, gardening, enjoying her neighborhood, loving her community, investing in her local church, and walking forward in the things God has for her.
